WHAT WE DO
UAPCAL 116 is an extension of the United Architects of the Philippines, the integrated and accredited professional organization of architects. It is governed by UAP's rules and regulations, and it shares and supports UAP's vision, mission and objectives.
In line with the UAP charter, UAPCAL 116 supports and encourages its members in advocating sustainable and ethical designs and practices, diversity and volunteerism; promoting community outreach; engaging in professional development and continuing education; pursuing our common interests through fellowship; and enriching the lives of others by raising funds for our scholarship program.
ADVOCACY
As a collective voice for Filipinos, we work together with UAP National and other relevant government agencies to help support the interest of the profession, and provide recommendation to public policy matters here and abroad.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Giving back to the community is one of our chapter's key focus. We assist in providing aid during national calamities, or providing financial assistance through programs such as our scholarship fund.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
In addition to networking & informative presentations, we encourage individual growth through serving the community and fostering leadership within the organization. If needed, we can also assist in job hunting leads & reviewing the resumes of our members.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
Our General Membership Meetings (GMM) typically includes an hour long presentation
from guest speakers to discuss latest trends and issues in our field or guided tours which can be eligible for a Continuing Professional Development credit (CPD)
FELLOWSHIP
Our members are a diverse collection of urban professionals from around the Bay Area. We share ideas as we go on guided tours, meetings or joint chapter events with Socal Colleagues, and gain better understanding of our profession.
FUND RAISING
Fundraising is an enjoyable way to help support our programs, and to meet the group. These events are fun, and open to friends and families.
